Omg wife found this place on line or was told about it, we went out for a bike ride and stopped in on way back. Hot chocolate was amazing and the selection of homemade cakes was great I really was stuck for what to order they all looked so good. We arrived late afternoon just before closing so mist of the cakes were almost gone but still had a slice of each to look at.

A Hidden Gem by the Water!
Stopped in for a coffee and was genuinely impressed! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. There was a great selection of cakes on offer – I was especially happy to see a vegan cheesecake available, which is perfect for those with allergies or dietary preferences.
The place was spotless and well-kept, with a calm, tidy atmosphere. It's also dog-friendly, which is always a bonus for pet owners. To top it all off, the view of the water is absolutely beautiful – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a treat.

We arrived unsure, with a 3 month baby and a dog. We would always walk outside with a crying baby in consideration for others, but NOTHING was too much. From our very first step in the front door we were welcomed with smiles, I tell you some coffee shop staff could benefit from visiting The Tides. Thank you for being so welcoming, helpful, friendly. We're going back again today!

Best coffee I have ever tasted, and you can't sneeze at the choice of cakes and pastries that are available. Coupled with the fact it is a 2 minute walk from my home. The cherry on top is that the people that work here are lovely, very attentive and cheery to help you get through your day.

This is a wonderful little cafe. The food was delicious and they had amazing catering for allergies. As someone who is gluten and dairy free they could offer me smoothies, milkshakes, ice cream, gluten free panini and bagels with dairy free cheese. The cakes were delicious according to other people in the party. Plus the prices were very reasonable.

Have followed Tides Coffee Shop for ages after a recommendation on instagram. Finally popped in for a late lunch and was not disappointed. Had a NY inspired bagel and coffee and walnut cake. All freshly made and very tasty. So glad I finally popped in

Lovely find. Coffee and cakes and savoury treats to eat. Nice location. Some outside seating in the summer would be nice too. Well worth popping in. Plenty of free parking for a short walk.

I collect my husband from work and Tide Café has become our go-to little haven for a quick lunchtime escape. For me, it’s always the salmon & cream cheese bagel with a cappuccino; for him, it’s a simple cheese sandwich with an espresso (or a cortado if he’s feeling adventurous 😅).
These little pauses in the middle of busy days have meant more than I realised — a chance to sit, talk, laugh, and breathe together before life pulls us back in different directions. With job changes, our lunchtime visits are sadly coming to an end, but Tide will always be one of those places that feels like a “reset button.”
The staff make you feel so welcome, the food never disappoints, and the scenery is a gentle reminder to slow down and take it all in. It’s not just a café — it’s a place that gives you a moment of calm, connection, and comfort. 🌊☕🥯- Meal type

Considering we live so close and regularly walk this area, it was our first visit as we did not know this coffee shop was even here. What an amazing little place. The coffee was great and served in a decent sized mug and the panini's were delicious 😋 we will definitely be back for more.
